Bhagavat Educational Trust – Bulgaria is the Eastern European headquarters for Bhagavat Educational Trust – UK. Bhagavat Bulgaria fully endorses Bhagavat UK’s ethos and ‘Modus-opeandi’. Management, resources and expertise are provided by Bhagavat UK who has a wealth of experience in running similar projects in India, Africa, Eastern Europe and UK.

Bhagavat Bulgaria works with an extensive network of social institutions across the country, where the placements are being hosted. Institutions include orphanages, social homes for disabled children, half-way homes and sheltered accommodations for youth in risk, day centres for children with learning disabilities, etc.

Bhagavat UK is very sound with adequate resources combined with the substantial expertise and experience, Bhagavat Bulgaria is adequately equipped to run such projects. Bhagavat Bulgaria is an accredited EVS (European Voluntary Service) organisation and has got the potential to host foreign participants and provide positive work and training activities for them.

Bhagavat Bulgaria has been the Prince’s Trust Bulgaria partner for several years and has more recently hosted over 600 participants and accompanying people in the framework of our "Living and Learning Abroad" projects (reference numbers UK/08/LLP-LdV/PLM/163086;  UK/09/LLP - LdV/PLM/163099; UK/10/LLP-LdV/PLM/163132; UK/11/LLP-LdV/PLM/163224 and UK/12/LLP-LdV/plm/163215); clearly demonstrating Bhagavat Bulgaria’s capacity to host such projects.


Our motivation is to continue to offer a `Life changing experience` for the young people from UK, who are often dissengaged from society, certainly marginalised and often comprise of those in or leaving care, former substance abusers or ex-offenders. In addition it is also very rewarding to make a difference to the orphans lives, to see a smile on their faces and the better motivated staff of teh orphanages. 


We have adopted a Chineese proverb `it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness` this we beleive we do in each orphanage we work in!!
