Project № BG051PO001-7.0.07-0150 “Support for effective social inclusion for discouraged young people through the model of Mutual Assistance”
The project “Support for effective social inclusion for discouraged young people through the model of Mutual Assistance” starts December 2013 and it is financed by Operational program Human resource Development. The main aim is achieving better social integration and adaptation of groups at social risk to the dynamically changing conditions of the labor market. The specific aim is to implement the innovative method of Mutual Assistance among different groups at social risk and to promote social inclusion, in particular the successful self-realization on the labor market by providing the right skills and motivation to improve competitiveness, adaptability and desire for Lifelong learning. The project has been implemented by the “Institute for labor and social researches” in partnership with 2 leading organizations using the model of Mutual Assistance- Bhagavat Educational Trust Bulgaria and Bhagavat Educational Trust UK. An associate partner is also the Employment Agency which main role is to assist with the recruiting of unemployed youngsters.
The project will be 12 months and will consist the following activities:

Activity 1: Establishment of operational management and coordination between “ILSR” (Applicant), BET (Partner), BET Bulgaria and the National Labor Agency (Associated Partner). Activity 2: Providing the necessary facilities, materials and supplies for carrying out project activities. Activity 3: Translation of documents, methodological materials and simultaneous translation. Activity 4: Promotion and dissemination of the project and of the "HRD" OP. Activity 5: Studying the experience and methods of the partners. Activity 6: Survey on the Bulgarian context and the attitudes toward implementation of the innovative model among target groups. Activity 7: Adaptation of the innovative model to suit the needs of the target groups. Activity 8: Selecting target group members and introducing them to the model and the aims of the project. Activity 9: Implementation of the mutual assistance model among the selected target group members. Activity 10: Support for the social inclusion of target group members through organising career seminars and motivational trainings. Activity 11: Management, coordination and internal monitoring of the project. Action 12: Interim and final reporting on the implementation of the project activities. |
3 main target groups will be involved:

TARGET GROUP 1- Unemployed young people left the labor market for more than a year, having difficulties in finding a job due to various social, cultural, physical, psychological and other factors
TARGET GROUP 2- Representatives of groups at social risk from United Kingdom, including disadvantaged participants, discriminated against because of race, sex, age, physical disability and / or different social status.
TARGET GROUP 3- Hosting group from Institutions for children deprived of parental care.
The realization of the activities will lead to better social inclusion and adaptation of groups at social risk to the dynamically changing labor market.
The long lasting impact on the participants from the target groups will be achieved by:

Raising awareness of the representatives of the TARGET GROUPS

Increasing the level of Motivation for gaining new skills and competences;

Facilitate building qualities and skills among the participants using innovative methods and creative solutions in the rapidly changing conditions in the labor market with a view to their integration into the community and career development;

The main effect of the successful implementation of the project activities on the target group will be the social inclusion and the active participation of the participants in the labor market and in the society.
